Mistletoe Mountain at Mount Alverno Luxury Resorts began in 2021 as a holiday event designed to celebrate local artisans and bring a festive, community-focused atmosphere to Caledon. The event was inspired by the cozy, nostalgic elements often found in Hallmark Christmas movies, aiming to recreate that magical holiday spirit. The resort’s old barn was transformed into a charming Christmas market featuring workshops, handcrafted gifts, and traditional holiday decor, with warm lighting and seasonal touches throughout. Attendees could enjoy classic Christmas films on a heated patio, participate in wreath-making or holiday cooking classes, and sample mulled wine and festive snacks prepared by the resort’s chef.

The market quickly became a favourite, not only for its enchanting decor and activities but also for its commitment to supporting the community. Each year, the resort collects donations for local charities. This year, the Christmas market has expanded with more vendor spaces and added activities, including a “Brunch with Santa” at the resort’s Vista Restaurant. The Mistletoe Mountain event has become a cherished local tradition that captures the essence of the holiday season and showcases the talents of local artisans​
